External JavaScript

External script are place in an external file and not in the same page.

Netscape Navigator 3.0 introduced a new SRC attribute for the <script> tag that enables the use of external script.

In such a way one can use the JavaScript script that is located in some other file.

External script are used when you need to integrate a lang. JavaScript into an HTML file.

External file usually had .js extension.

Syntax of external script is:

<script language="JavaScript" src="abc.js" type="text/JavaScript">

The advantage to external script is that you can apply the same script to multple page.
